Tender Description
The Powerhouse is inviting responses from digital artists, designers, creative agencies, developers, and technologists for The Lab Commission, a new interactive digital work for a multi-screen installation and exhibition space at Powerhouse Ultimo.
Creative responses should be inspired by the Powerhouse Collection and be linked to primary school syllabus programs. The digital work will create an interactive leaning space for young people aimed at positioning the museum at the forefront of learning and technology. The Lab Commission can include a range of digital interactive content and elements but must be able to operate in three modes:
- Gallery Mode: Unstaffed and informal sessions that cater to intergenerational audiences.
- Education Mode: Educator-led, structured group sessions catering for booked groups of young learners and/or teachers.
- Presentation Mode: accommodates various programs (i.e keynote addresses, talks and presentations).
The project has a fixed budget of $100,000 (exclusive of GST) for delivery of all elements outlined within the attached brief.
