Tender Description
Melton City Council manages the facilities and central enrolment for 25 kindergartens across the municipality. Provision of early years services at these facilities including kindergarten and long day care is managed by external providers who work in close partnership with Melton Council.
In response to the rapid growth within the City of Melton, two new kindergarten facilities will be constructed and will open for operation at the beginning of 2023.
Melton City Council invites tenders from organisations with the requisite experience and capability to manage and operate one or both of the below kindergarten services:
Mt Atkinson Kindergarten, 160 Clara Avenue Truganina 3029; and Rockbank Murray Road Kindergarten, 97-121 Murray Road Thornhill Park 3335.
Tenderers may choose to submit a Tender Response which includes one or both of the kindergarten services.
It is anticipated that the kindergartens will open for operation in January 2023. The construction of these facilities will provide for an integrated model between the kindergarten and nearby schools. The provision of the new kindergartens will support Melton City Council in the roll out of three year old funded kindergarten which commences in 2022. Temporary and permanent facilities
Contractors will be required to enter into a licence for the premises on which the service is performed. The Licence is included at Attachment B in the Contract Terms.
The Kindergarten facilities subject to tender are currently under construction. It is anticipated that construction will allow opening in time for the 2023 kindergarten year, however Tenderer’s should allow for a delay in opening of the sites.
Any grant of occupancy to a chosen Tenderer specified in a licence for a particular site will be subject to completion of construction of the site.
