Tender Description
The recovery tanks and sludge drying beds at Mount Stromlo Water Treatment Plant were constructed in the 1960's. With more recently installed infrastructure now generally used for dewatering, the recovery tanks and sludge drying beds are intermittently used as an alternative.
Reconfiguration of the recovery tanks and sludge drying beds over time has led to safe access issues and redundant equipment remaining in the area.
This project aims to improve safe access to the recovery tanks and remove redundant equipment which impedes access.
The scope of this design and construct procurement includes:
- New stairways
- New handrails
- Relocation of valves and washdown infrastructure
- Removal of redundant stairways, valves and piping
- Modifications to the control panel

NB: Mandatory attendance of the industry briefing and site inspection at the date and time in the RFT is a condition for participation in the tender.
