The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department), is seeking Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the hire of a suitable training venue for the yearly training calendar for Youth Justice (YJ) Custodial workforce. The largest portion of the YJ Learning and Development (L&D) training program is the Youth Justice Custodial Pre-Service Training that is run for a total of 8 weeks, 4 to 5 times a year

People and Workplace Services (PaWS) - Youth Justice , Learning and Development is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Training Venue Hire supplier(s) that can provide learning and training spaces to facilitate training to groups of Youth Justice (YJ) Custody new staff for the purposes of pre-service training over a period of 21 months.

The Request for Quote (RFQ), when formulated, will be released via the Buying for Victoria platform. Please refer to the details below.

Supplier to consider the following criteria:

The training venue would need to support:

• theoretical learning spaces for approx. 30 participants that can be used for the facilitation of theory-based training, with ergonomic seating suitable to classroom learning.
• The classroom spaces need to be ergonomically safe with access to whiteboard, AV and preferably Wi-Fi connection and be a professional style space for facilitated training delivery.
• tactical training room(s) free of furniture, with enough open space to support physical training and self-defence activities, this space would be set up with gym pads and be at least 115 square metres.
• storage facility co-located with training rooms to secure training equipment.
• use of a ‘social or breakout area’ which includes fridge, microwave and access to tea and coffee making facilities.
• printing and scanning services
• areas need to be cleaned, secure, well ventilated to address heating and cooling and be serviced by public transport and car parking.
