Tender Description
The contract covers the rehabilitation of a disused gravel pit located on Red Hill Rd, Jindera.
The works involves the construction of a stormwater retaining dam, piped low-flow outlet, filling/re-shaping of sections of the pit and revegetation works. The general terrain is considered to be steep with access to existing batters difficult.
The revegetation works will involve a number of treatments including importing topsoil and/or the application of hydro-mulch. There will be the requirement to break down rock outcrops and import general fill to allow shaping prior to topsoiling or mulching.
Tenders should also address the provisional items listed. It's expected that a tender report will be submitted to the April Council meeting Contracts will be signed soon after that meeting with an expected civil works commencement date in April 2022.
Revegetation will Subsequently take place as seasonal conditions dictate
A compulsory pre-tender meeting will be held on site at 10.00am on Thursday 3rd March 2022 The meeting place is at the end of Red Hill Rd. Tenderers should be aware that the site is on private property and access to the property is not permitted without notification to the landowner. The site is only available for inspection at the time of the compulsory pre-tender meeting.
