Tender Description
Rio Tinto requires a supplier for upgrading the lighting at the 8 Mile laydown yard.
Works will be undertaken in two stages:
Stage 1
i. Earthworks and civils
ii. Installation of concrete footings and cabling
Stage 2
i. Positioning new posts
ii. Installing lighting
iii. Connection to DB panel
Works are to be undertaken on dates that are mutually agreeable to the Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) Project Manager and the contractor; the contractor is to indicate in their submission their ability to deliver on the above dates and proposed dates if the above is not suitable.
Whilst works are being undertaken in each building, RTIO staff will not be permitted access in the area. The contractor will have full right of access to the work area during the execution periods.
Full details of the works are as follows:
a) Isolation of power to existing lighting and 7MDB053 as required for the duration that electrical works is being conducted. Isolations are to be made such that supplies are maintained to all other neighbouring infrastructure / buildings.
b) All earthworks required for installation of new cabling and pole footings.
c) Install three new trafficable pits for cable reticulation.
d) Installation of concrete footings to support new light towers.
e) Supply and install three new light towers.
f) Supply and install new floodlights to existing towers ALP8M-003 and ALP8M-004.
g) Connection to 7MDB053 and carry out all required testing and provide updated electrical drawings.
h) Cleaning of all work areas, including:
i) Removal and disposal of all rubbish and waste created in executing these works in accordance with local authority requirements.
The Contractor is responsible for the supply of all goods and services as outlined within this scope of works.
