This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Digital Earth Australia (DEA) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to analyse and document business processes and workflows in a complex Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) environment. The successful candidate will need to have strong communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to engage and extract information from across multi-disciplinary teams across the DEA Program.
Experience working with software engineers, scientists, and knowledge of high-performance computing and commercial cloud environments, as well as spatial and/or remote sensing data would be an advantage.
In this role, the BA will be required to document and present business processes, ICT workflows, processing chains, and product life cycles. Furthermore, to identify gaps and provide options for remediation. Visual and written documentation – using Visio diagrams and equivalent outlining workflows and explanations – will be required. Presentation material to validate understanding and communicate these back to various audiences effectively will also be required.
For the fundamental and derivate DEA products and services, identification, mapping, and documentation will be required. The three core DEA products to be documented initially are:
• Analysis Ready Data (ARD) (Landsat and Sentinel 2);
• Fractional Cover; and
• DEA Water Observations (WO)
