This request seeks to engage experienced Suppliers to develop Good Practice Guidelines for engaging with people with disability (the Guidelines). The purpose of the Guidelines will be to provide governments, the private and non government sectors with a practical tool for the engagement and inclusion of people with disability in community consultation, policy development and government decision making.

The development of the Guidelines is an Australian Government commitment under Australia’s Disability Strategy Engagement Plan (the Engagement Plan). The guidelines will be a valuable resource to remove barriers to participation for people with disability.

The successful Supplier must have a deep understanding of or past experience in consulting and engaging people with disability and the ability to translate this knowledge and experience to develop interactive guidelines and resources for policy makers to engage and consult with people with disability.

In developing the Guidelines the successful Supplier must ensure people with disability are part of the project team, consult with people with disability to test the appropriateness of the Guidelines and undertake user testing of the Guidelines with the primary target audience.
