The EL1 Assistant Director ICT Learning & Communication is accountable under broad direction to undertake complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA.
The Assistant Director ICT Learning and Communications will lead a team responsible and accountable for the design and development of the ICT learning and communication packages for the OCIO. This critical role will provide high quality learning and development packages and products for internal and external audiences. The position will take ownership of the OCIO’s
Knowledge Management solution and oversee all communication products for the division to ensure quality and consistentency and with Agency expectations. The Assistant Director ICT Learning and Communications is accountable for maintenance of many communication mediums including via the agencies Intranet.. The Assistant Director ICT Learning and Communications will ensure that all learning material and communication artefacts meet accessibility standards in line with the expectations of the Agency
The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA’s interests across a range of forums.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Development of training packages using a variety of mediums ensuring adhereance to accessibility requirements.
• Develop and distribute high quality targeted communications on behalf of the branch and the OCIO.
• Engage with ICT and business areas to undertake training needs analysis and develop skills development plans.
• Be action oriented to evaluate change impacts, conduct training needs analysis, provide capability uplift solutions, and manage training plans to support staff to adopt new processes and systems.
• Lead and champion the Division’s understanding of Assistive Technology user specific learning requirements
• Foster collaborative relationships that build and promote a quality service offering for OCIO
• Lead cultural growth and capacity building within the OCIO as part of a comprehensive professional development program
