Tender Description
The Council is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) 2021-63 for the provision of Bushland Reserves Conservation Management Services.
The Council is seeking to appoint a single specialist provider to deliver environmental conservation management of Council's bushland reserves.
Tenderers are advised that they are able to nominate to sub-contract any of the required works and/or services as outlined in the tender specifications, but sub-contractors must be identified and listed and all related sub-contractor business information provided as part of the tender response.
If a tenderer nominates to sub-contract for any of the required works and/or services, then if awarded the contract – the successful tenderer, then becomes the lead contractor and is held liable and responsible for any of the works and/or services delivered by their sub-contracted suppliers under the contract arrangement.
If, during the term of the resulting contract, the awarded Contractor needs to change or engage different sub-contracted providers – prior approval is required to be obtained from the nominated Council representative.
The initial term of the new contract arrangement is for five (5) years.
There are two (2) x one (1) year extension options available at Council discretion,
The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed seven (7) years.
It is intended that the new contract arrangement will commence on or around 1 July 2022.
The average of the annual additional funding over the past 3 years was $50,000. Annual grant income is not guaranteed.
In the event of additional funding for projects becoming available, it is the expectation by Council, that the awarded tenderer will undertake these additional works.
Tenderers are advised that they are required to provide pricing for the 1st Year of the contract term only.
Annualised adjustments will be applied to subsequent years of the initial contract term and any contract extensions which are exercised by the Council.
The annualised rate adjustment will be based on CPI – All Groups Melbourne, and on the published quarter results immediately preceding the contract anniversary date.
