Tender Description
Frankston City Council invite Tenders from suitably qualified head contractors to deliver the construction phase for Kananook Creek
Gardens.
The project site forms part of the Kananook Creek Reserve in Seaford and consists of an area of approximately 3 ha, bounded by the east bank of the Kananook Creek, Station Street, the Seaford Railway Station car park, R F Miles Recreation Reserve and Seaford Road.
The land is zoned as a Public Conversation and Recreation Zone (PCRZ) under the Frankston Planning Scheme and is subject to an Environmental Significance Overlay (ESO1).
The site is also recognised in the Frankston Open Space Strategy as being Regional conversation open space, having both biodiversity and recreation values.
Kananook Creek Reserve is located on Crown land and administrated by DELWP.
Works include but are not limited to:
a) Temporary site protective fencing during construction;
b) Demolition works including removal and disposal;
c) Trimming and grading;
d) Garden bed preparation, mulching and topsoiling;
e) Construction of new paths as detailed in the drawings and specifications;
f) Construction of new decking at the south entry;
g) Construction of new steps with FRP mini mesh panels as per drawings;
h) Furniture supply and installation;
i) Supply of all materials and construction;
j) Reinstatement of all disturbed areas;
k) Coordination of softscape works with Council’s Softscape Contractor;
l) Supply and installation of new park and interpretive signage (PROVISIONAL), and
m) Construction of a new lookout shelter structure (PROVISIONAL SEPARABLE PORTION).
