Architectural Design Competition - Resource Recovery Learning Centre - West Nowra

⁠⁠⁠Shoalhaven City Council (Council) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI's) for participation in a limited (3 candidate) Architectural Design Competition for the proposed Resource Recovery Learning Centre in accordance with this Request for EOI.

The proposed building, located at the Waste Services Depot at 120 Flatrock Road, Mundamia (West Nowra) NSW is conceived as a community learning hub which will physically showcase sustainable & innovative design.

Council has prepared a competition brief included in this EOI which describes the function, scale and innovative environmental values to be embodied by the proposed building. Bidders must consider this brief when preparing the EOI & innovative design thinking will be looked upon favourably.

To be eligible for consideration, your design team must have at least one Architect registered in either NSW or ACT.

Up to three successful candidates emerging from this EOI will proceed under a paid competition program to produce architectural concept design for the Resource Recovery Learning Centre. The candidate producing the winning concept design, selected by an expert jury panel, will proceed to complete architectural documentation necessary for construction of this facility following discussion and acceptance by council of design fees.

Up to three successful candidates emerging from this EOI will be awarded $30,000 excluding GST each to prepare a competition concept design. This EOI is Phase 1 of the below chart.
