Tender Description
Severe corrosion have been detected on the 3M Skirt supports within the crusher vault, and remediation works on supports are required for structural integrity purposes.
The scope of work relates to all fabrication and Site installation works required for the blasting, painting and steelwork replacement including but not limited to the following major sections:
a) Barricading and demarcation of work area
b) Blasting and painting of Skirt support of Parallel Flange Channels
c) Thickness test of structural members for section loss.
d) Cutting and removal of steelwork deemed as heavily corroded
e) Supply and Site installation of compensation plates post thickness check on members (more than 10% loss). Decisions of sections / plate to be replaced / repaired to be made by RTIO Representative.
f) Supply and site installation of new steel members and required fixings where compensation plates are not suitable.
g) Coating and surface treatment of existing and new steelwork per SS-P118
The Works are expected to be aligned with the High Grade shut calendar (in April).
