Tender Description
Mount Isa City Council (MICC) and Cloncurry Shire Council (CSC) each invite tenders from suitably qualified tenderers to deliver collection services within their respective local government areas, as described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope.
MICC is acting as the tender administrator for both MICC and CSC. On completion of the Procurement Process, MICC and CSC will, subject to the procurement process conditions, separately enter into individual agreements with the successful contractor/s. MICC and CSC may enter into contracts with different contractors or with the same contractor.
MICC also has a number of trucks available for purchase. The details of each truck, including the price, is contained in the Collections Price Schedule Final (MS Excel). A Tenderer that wishes to purchase the trucks are requested to advise MICC, in the Tenderer’s Response, as to whether the price is acceptable and, if it is not, to make an offer to MICC. MICC is under no obligation to accept or reject any offer. If an agreement is reached, MICC and the respective purchaser will be required to enter into a sale contract to facilitate that agreement in a form to be agreed.

MICC is targeting a Council resolution to award the contract by end-May 2022, enabling a four-month mobilisation period. Tenderers must indicate how they will accommodate a service commencement date of 1 October 2022 and if this is not considered practicable, propose an alternative service commencement date.
