Tender Description
Rio Tinto would like to identify suppliers that have the capability to provide hire earth moving equipment for it's Pilbara sites.
The scope also includes the maintenance of the hired equipment. The nature of the hire will be an ad-hoc/project base ranging from a few day to weeks or months.
The earthmoving equipment consists of the below (see attached list for further details):
- Excavators
- Dozers
- Crane Trucks
- Loaders
- Graders
- Dump Trucks
- Compactors
- Water Trucks
- Service Trucks
- Diesel Tankers
- Side Tippers
- Washdown Trailers
The maintenance of equipment would include such requirements as:
Source, supply, mobilise and demobilise, maintain and/or track hire Items;
Monitor the performance or neglect of hire Items;
Provide suitable alternative hire items capable of providing the scope as the original hire Items that were supplied; and
Provide site-based field service technicians for the sole purpose of maintaining the hire Items if and when required.

As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
