Jemena & Ausnet Services Joint Tender for Domestic Gas Meters & Domestic Gas Regulators

⁠⁠⁠Jemena Group and AusNet Services (the Tenderers) are seeking to appoint a Service Provider via this Joint Request for Tender (JRFT) to supply and deliver gas meters and regulators for their respective gas distribution businesses.

About the Joint Request for Tender (JRFT):

The Tenderers are conducting this tender and procurement process for the joint purchase of gas meters and regulators. More specific information about how the Tenderers intend to conduct this process is set out in Section 5 (RFT Clarifications).

The purpose of the JRFT is for the Tenderers:

1. to work collaboratively through this tender process to ensure a level of industry standardisation can be achieved on commonly purchased goods and services to reduce supplier market cost burdens and drive effeciencies.
2. To aggregate annual volumes of the Tenderers’ purchase requirements of specific gas meters and regulators to incentivise market pariticipants to put forward better value pricing on larger purchase volumes, for both suppliers and the Tenderers.
