Calling all musicians and performers.
In partnership with the Victorian Government, the City of Melbourne is coordinating curated live music street performances and an enhanced busking program designed to showcase and support Victorian talent from Thursday 17 February until Monday 14 March 2022.
We want to offer a platform to as many voices and musical acts as we can, paying homage to Victoria's reputation as a diverse arts and culture destination of Australia.
The Victorian Government and the City of Melbourne are engaging a variety of buskers and musical street performers to entertain, inspire and delight the passing crowds, helping enhance the creative atmosphere in the city each week from Thursday 17 February 2022.
We want to offer a platform to as many voices and acts as we can, paying homage to Victoria’s reputation as a diverse arts and culture destination of Australia. Each artist will receive a retainer of $300 excluding GST (solo act) or $500 excluding GST (duo act) for a two hour busking set with breaks. Performers are invited to submit an expression of interest by 5pm Thursday 10 February.
