Tender Description
The Aotearoa New Zealand Trainees’ Committee seeks expressions of interest from Basic and Advanced Trainees to join as a Trainee Representative.
The Aotearoa New Zealand Trainees’ Committee represents and advocates on behalf of Aotearoa New Zealand trainees at all levels of RACP governance including matters affecting selection, training, assessment, supervision, and the education experience, and recommendations on policy matters.
The Committee also leads the development of the annual Aotearoa New Zealand Trainees’ Day – the professional development event for RACP trainees.
The Committee holds 1 kanohi ki te kanohi | face-to-face meeting and 3 virtual meetings a year.
The first meeting of 2022 will be Rāhina, 21 Hui-tanguru | Monday, 21 February and we'll be looking to make an appointment at that meeting (subject to Aotearoa NZ Committee approval).
The Committee seeks applications from Basic and Advanced Trainees in Adult Medicine, Paediatrics & Child Health, and all Faculties and Chapters. We welcome applications from trainees with diverse backgrounds and especially welcome those applying from peripheral centres.
Members are appointed to the Committee for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew a further term, or until admission to Fellowship.
