Tender Description
The Land Development Corporation (LDC) is the Northern Territory Government’s strategic land development agency. Our goal is to develop residential and industrial land to meet the strategic needs of Northern Territory residents and business.
Established by the Land Development Corporation Act 2003 and structured as a Government Business Division, LDC is required to act in a commercial manner and pay taxes and dividends on profits, to ensure a level playing field with private developers.
LDC works with private partners to deliver our projects. These partners include local consultants, local construction contractors and local
development partners.
In managing LDC’s strategic property portfolio, we utilise a variety of agreement types, from sales agreements, leases and licenses, covenants and consents, Interim Agreements and options. As part of administering these property arrangements, LDC engages legal services from Territory legal service providers across:
• Commercial and Property Law;
• Conveyancing;
• Dispute Resolution (debt resolution matters and leasing dispute resolution);
LDC is inviting Territory legal service providers to share its interest in providing future legal services.
