Collingwood Campus Redevelopment Head Contractor

⁠⁠⁠Melbourne Polytechnic is conducting an Expression of Interest (EOI) to prequalified Contractors on the Victorian Government Construction Supplier Register (CSR) to respond to this EOI. The EOI seeks to identify prequalified Contractors whom may perform the role of Design and Construct (D&C) Contractor with novated consultants for the design completion, documentation, construction, commissioning and completion of Collingwood Campus Redevelopment Project. This EOI process is the first stage of a multi stage procurement process.

The Collingwood Campus Redevelopment scope includes:

• Construction of a new 3 level (basement, two levels and half floor mezzanine) of approximately 3000 m2
• Extensive refurbishment and fit out of approximately 10,0000 m2 of existing 8 level (basement plus 7 levels plus roof top plant room)
• Fit out works including educational spaces for a range of technology related, creative arts and foundation studies, student amenities and support services and staff accommodation for Melbourne Polytechnic
• Fit out works for accommodation for partner organisations, Refugee Legal Immigration Centre and with cold shell tenancy allowances for Expression Australia and Melbourne Innovation Centre
• Expression Australia are to be responsible for their own fit out works.
• Replacement of building plant and services infrastructure to the site
• Demolition of studio pod extension and associated external stairs at the northern façade providing a new welcoming address at Perry Street
• Refurbishment of terraces at Level 3 plus landscaping works at the northern part of the site providing improved amenity for all building users and to provide a welcoming address along Perry Street
• The redevelopment works are proposed to be constructed all in one stage
