Tender Description
Wattle Range Council maintains approximately 535km of sealed roads across the region, ranging from low volume local township roads to more heavily trafficked distributor and collector roads. Council undertakes the intersection upgrade program annually as a part of Council’s Capital Projects Program. In the current financial year 2021-2022, Council is intending to upgrade the following intersection in the region to maintain appropriate levels of service for the community.

The Intersections upgrade work will involve widening of intersection and replacing the existing wearing surface with new AC10 asphalt layer. The required works should be carried out in accordance with the Council specifications and the relevant Australian Standards.
The scope of works in this contract includes:
- Establishment of temporary traffic management measures;
- Milling of existing road surface layers;
- Identifying pavement defects/issues and carrying out potential patching repair work;
- Widening of shoulders through establishing new pavement;
- Preparations (brushing and tack coating) for asphalting works;
- Overlaying and compacting the new asphalt layer to specified thickness;
- Reinstating line marking at intersection; and,
- Testing (where required).
