Tender Description
The intent of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to target Northern Territory not-for-profit non-government organisations (NGO’s) who are registered Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) providers to submit proposals for the construction of SDA on seven parcels of land across the Northern Territory . The land will be transferred to the successful proponent/s as a Grant in return for the construction of SDA.
The seven parcels of land are located in Darwin’s northern suburbs, Palmerston and Alice Springs and suitable for the construction of residential housing.
NGO proposals would need to demonstrate their ability to provide dwellings that are able to qualify for Provisional Design Certification by an accredited SDA assessor with the NDIS before construction commences as well as qualify for final as-built Certification once completed.
The successful proponent/s will need to be registered as a SDA provider, demonstrate a track record in the delivery of disability accommodation, as well as capacity and capability to construct, or partner with the private sector for the construction of SDA.
Land will be transferred to the successful proponent/s subject to the terms of the Grant Agreement.
The transferred land will be caveated and covenanted to protect the department’s interest in the land and to ensure the land is used for the intended purpose for a minimum of 20 years.
