Tender Description
The scope of work includes fabricate, supply and delivery of four (4) self-bunded liquid storage tanks with a nominal capacity of 200,000L and associated vent pipes, access hatches and internal ladders, sealed apertures for pipe connections, interstitial dip, access platform, handrails, access staircases, anchor points and cable trays.
Liquid storage tanks will be installed at the Tugun Bypass Tunnel on the HW10 Pacific Highway, to hold potentially contaminated water that may be collected in the tunnel drainage sumps from time to time. Water in the tunnel drainage sumps may be contaminated with a liquid hydrocarbon or with any other substance that may be carried from the road surface into the tunnel drainage sumps and is detected by a change in the pH of the stormwater entering the tunnel drainage sumps. Any potentially contaminated water would be pumped to the liquid storage tanks and held while the liquid is tested for disposal or water treatment options are investigated.
