Northern Beaches Leisure Centre 50m Pool Replacement

⁠⁠⁠The Northern Beaches Leisure Centre (NBLC) 50m pool was constructed in 2008. The pool is a proprietary modular Astralpool SKYPOOL system comprising of hot dip galvanised steel panel wall (2mm thick) structure supported on a concrete base, with internal PVC pool liner. The steel frame is in very poor condition. As such, the 50m pool is recommended for replacement with a concrete pool shell.

Townsville City Council seek to engage a suitably qualified Principal Contractor for the design and construction of a new 50m pool shell, complete with fitments and finishes as described in the tender documentation. The successful Principal Contractor shall also undertake nominated maintenance works while the facility is closed to the public. All works are to be conducted in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and be fit for purpose. Please refer to tender documentation for further information.
