Overview

Questacon's mission as the national science and technology centre is to promote understanding and awareness of science and technology within the community. Questacon has previously appointed Minds In Residence (MIR) to help engage the community and enhance its capabilities in science communication. A MIR will often, but not always, be a subject matter expert invited to take a mentoring role in relation to a particular function, activity, program or exhibition at Questacon.

Questacon is now seeking expressions of interest from indigenous sellers registered on the Digital Marketplace to provide one or more Minds In Residence for its Cyber Ready program. The Cyber Ready program is a national cyber security education campaign aimed at 8-13 year old students, their teachers and their families. The program emphasises diversity and inclusion, and seeks to convey a broad perspective of the impact of digital technologies in its learning intentions.

Questacon is seeking a range of innovative, creative, thought provoking proposals for one or more Mind In Residence projects to be completed in 2022. These proposals should be aligned to the Cyber Ready program's scope and objectives which are outlined in more detail below.
