Tender Description
At the Shire, we manage over 95 buildings, facilities and public spaces. These include the local Fire Stations, the Tennis Club, sports ovals, Yornup Hall, our Library and Leisure Centre, the Greenbushes Court House and many, many more! With these buildings, many of which are heritage-listed, we are responsible for maintaining their structure and integrity as well as providing appropriate uses for them.
Maintaining so many assets is no small job and we need help! If you are a local contractor (e.g. plumber, builder, tiler, painter, carpenter, electrician, bricklayer, handyperson, landscaper, etc.) please contact us so we can add you to our Approved Contractors List. Please email Leith Poad or call on 9761 0800 to learn more or be added to this List.
We have a commitment to our “local first” policy when it comes to contracting work and we use this list when one of our facilities is in need of maintenance. If we can’t find someone locally we do sometimes have to go outside of the Shire in order to get trades and specialised skills, but we would much rather support our local trades and businesses wherever possible.
