Tender Description
The upgrade includes the construction of a new aeration pipeline between the raw water pump station and Yass Dam, and installation of a submerged air diffuser in the Dam itself.
The upgrade also includes works at the WTP consisting of construction of a new chemical annex, installation of chemical dosing lines, installation of sample lines and minor building works.
The objectives of the bubble plume aeration of Yass Dam are:
1. Installation of an aeration pipeline from the Raw Water Pump Station to the aeration diffuser in Yass Dam to improve water quality and treatability at Yass Water Treatment Plant.
2. Supply and installation of a submerged aeration diffuser in the Yass Dam to aerate the bottom layers of the dam to prevent the formation of anaerobic conditions; and
3. Minor works at the RWPS consisting of design and construction of a retaining wall, path and swales.
The objectives of building and civil works at the raw water pump station (RWPS) and the water treatment plant (WTP) are:
4. Design and installation of new chemical annex with water supply and drainage to house the new Principal Supplied potassium permanganate dosing system;
5. Installation of Principal Supplied chemical dosing line conduits and dosing lines and connection to dosing systems and dosing points as required;
6. Installation of Principal Supplied sample pumps, Contractor supplied sample pump, and installation of new water sampling lines to and from selected points;
7. Minor building and construction works to complete the Stage 1 upgrade of the WTP
Pre-tender site visit is scheduled on 8 December 2021 at Yass WTP .
