Aerial Imagery Services

⁠⁠⁠Council has an extensive aerial photography library, consisting of 35 datasets of digital aerial imagery covering the Whitehorse local government area, and consisting of modern era and historical aerial imagery. In recent years, Council has grown its aerial photography library by acquiring single sets of imagery on an annual basis.

The need to have access to more frequent aerial imagery sets has grown within Council. Council is proposing to meet this need by entering into a subscription service model to provide access to multiple epochs of aerial imagery on an annual basis; which will complement the traditional annual acquisition.

Council is seeking tender submissions for the provision of digital aerial imagery in the form of:
a) Part A - Digital aerial imagery as an annual supply of true colour and a biennial supply of near-infrared in accordance with Council’s specification; and
b) Part B - An online subscription service providing access to frequently updated, high resolution aerial imagery services.
