Tender Description
Apply to Chair the Aotearoa New Zealand Adult Medicine Division Committee.
The Committee supports adult medicine specialists by advocating on their behalf for health reform, workforce issues and matters relevant to the health sector in Aotearoa NZ. The Chair ensures the Committee works within their Terms of Reference and work plan, covering :
- policy and advocacy
- research
- workforce
- education, training and assessment of future paediatricians
- training and continuing professional development
The Aotearoa NZ AMD Committee Chair becomes a member of the:
- Aotearoa NZ Committee — reporting to the Aotearoa NZ President
- AMD Council — reporting to the AMD President and accountable for the operations of the Aotearoa NZ AMD
- AMD Council — as an Executive member
Essential attributes:
- Be a RACP AMD Fellow who resides in Aotearoa NZ
- Acknowledges Te Tiriti ō Waitangi and the foundational principles of bicultural partnership, participation and protection it guarantees
- Attitudes of cooperation and positivity and high standards of ethical behaviours
Questions to the office are welcome, and visitors to the Committee by pre-arrangement are possible. The next hui | meeting is Rāpare 21 Whiringa-ā-nuku 2021 | Thursday 21 October 2021.
The Committee holds up to 4 hui | meetings a year, with 1 kanohi ki te kanohi | face-to-face.
