The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for submissions for the construction of a new classroom block at Kallangur State School, located at 139 School Rd, Kallangur QLD 4503 as part of the Growth Program 2022.

The new building is two levels and contains eight classrooms, two outdoor learning areas, kitchen, four toilets, two accessible toilets, lift, two practical learning areas, teacher prep / staffroom, playground and associated spaces. The project also includes the subsequent refurbishment of six existing classrooms and associated spaces.

The position of the new building is on the southern street frontage of the school with limited site access and working space. Blocks to be refurbished are located in the centre of the school campus.

The new classroom block and outdoor learning areas are to be completed by November 2022 and refurbishment of Blocks A, B & C are to be completed by April 2023.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors with a minimum PQC Level 3 with certified 3rd Party Quality Assurance and a QBCC Builder's Licence to undertake the entire scope of works.

Tender Documentation will be emailed to eligible contractors who meet the minimum PQC requirements. Details of the site inspection will be advised in the email and letters to tenderers.
