Finance, Supply and Delivery of a 14 Cubic Metre Rear Load Waste Truck

⁠⁠⁠Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) 2122-042 for the provision of Finance, Supply and Delivery of a 14 Cubic Metre Rear Load Waste Truck.

The purpose of this tender is for Nillumbik Shire Council to engage the services of a suitably qualified financial provider and vehicle supplier for the supply and delivery of a 14 cubic metre rear load waste collection vehicle with telematics and maintenance options to be used by Councils waste management service. Tenderers are advised that Council reserves the right to not take-up the tendered options for telematics and maintenance agreements.

Council will only enter into an agreement with a single principle party.

The completed vehicle must comply with the GML (general mass limits) as determined by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and be registered by VicRoads to those regulations as a 4x2 Medium Rigid Vehicle. Proof of compliance must be presented. VASS certification is required.

The basic requirement for this vehicle is to be fitted with;

• a Road Friendly (air bag) suspension
• Allison automatic transmission
• Differential Lock
• Heavy Duty Full Width Rear Loader 14 cubic metre compactor body; and
• include all the requirements as listed within the specification which must include load cells, desk top software system to view, monitor and plan collection activities as well as a live GPS camera recording (telematics) system; and maintenance agreement options.

An Electric Powered (EV) cab/chassis of the same composition capable of the same or better performance will be encouraged and receive appropriate consideration within the evaluation process. Where reference is made to engine/transmission requirement please submit EV computations.
