Tender Description
Council is seeking a suitably qualified Contractor to supply and deliver a GPS (Global Positioning System) Fleet Tracking System for Council’s nominated fleet with a view to a staged roll out to further selected fleet items.
Council own and maintain a Fleet of approximately 320 items.
The fleet is broken down into categories based on the fleet type.
The initial installation will involve around 167 Council fleet vehicles, with ongoing operation and monitoring services. Council may then carry out a staged roll-out to other selected fleet items.
The purpose of the GPS is to enhance staff safety, gain operational efficiencies in service delivery, improve asset management and asset protection to track damaged, stolen or missing council assets to reduce insurance premiums and assist with clarification of insurance claims.
