⁠⁠⁠ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE: 
Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 38% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 205,000 Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. Moreover, the city's population is expected to grow by 28,000 by 2036, creating a demand for 13,500 new dwellings and associated infrastructure.
 
ABOUT THE TENDER: Council is seeking an experienced and qualified contractor to construct the Sugar Valley Library Museum situated adjacent to a recently constructed retail precinct in Cameron Park. The Library Museum will provide an engaging and innovative facility at the forefront of public libraries in the region. It will feature a range of spaces which includes meeting and gathering areas, events and activation, programming library and collections, museum collection storage and an exhibition area.
 
The new building will feature: 
* Community lounge areas, study spaces, a children's area, and access to new technology 
* Museum display and exhibition area
* Collection storage for more than 7,000 heritage items
* Conference room with kitchenette
* Volunteer area
* Landscaping featuring heritage items and design elements to reflect the area's history 
 
REGISTRATION: Tender documents may be obtained by registering on the e-tendering portal at a cost of $199.80. A hard copy of the documents may be obtained at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, 126-138 Main Road, Speers Point at a cost of $251.20.
 
ENQUIRIES: Tender enquiries should be directed to Natalie Nissen, the Tendering Project Officer via the online forum. Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box, by facsimile transmission to (02) 4958 7257, or in a sealed envelope. The envelope is to be endorsed with the Tender number, title, and closing date and can be mailed or placed in the Tender Box located in Councils Administration Building, Ground Floor, 126-138 Main Road, Speers Point by the nominated time and date.
 
TENDERERS TO NOTE: In the preparation and submission of the tender and without limiting the Tenderers obligations, the Tenderer shall submit a tender which includes all Schedules including the Tenderers Declaration Schedule and any other declaration required completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information and details necessary to make the tender complete. The tenderer shall not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed nor engage in any form of collusive practice not directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
 
CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tender close at 2.00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time AEST or Australian Eastern Daylight Time AEDT, whichever is applicable in NSW at the time of tender close) on Tuesday, 7 December 2021 and submissions must be received in full prior to this time. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
 
Late submissions are not accepted.
