Wodonga has an extensive network of linear pedestrian cycle paths through numerous reserves. Council has over the recent years undertaken the installation of low level solar lighting along many of these. Whilst the lighting provided is not to code, our community is satisfied with the level of lighting currently being provided at the 70 metre spacing. The lights operate at a reduced lighting level and are activated to an increased level of brightness when a pedestrian or cyclist approaches the light. The increased spacing of the lights allows for additional lighting to be provided in the short term, when there is limited funding available for this type of infrastructure in a regional city.
