Interoperability Procurement Guideline
Tender ID: 475824
Tender Details
Tender Description
This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
There is a lack of nationally available and contemporary guidance material suited to the Australian context to support healthcare providers wanting to incorporate interoperability when acquiring or building new digital health systems. Providers and developers must draw on the plethora of reference material, standards and specifications related to interoperability when undertaking procurement processes.
The Agency is establishing an intergovernmental working group to harmonise procurement and use of standards, based on assessments of best practice approaches to interoperability requirements for ICT system procurement. This will include looking at:
• common terms and conditions covering interoperability requirements as a guide for inclusion in tender/contract documents
• guidance on interoperability standards and protocols used to inform procurement, drawing on best practice from jurisdictions and the Agency
The Agency is seeking a supplier who can provide the expertise and capacity to produce a practical guidance document for use by jurisdictions on incorporating interoperability requirements in procurement process, drawing on:
• best practice nationally and internationally
• engagement with key stakeholders and experts
• assessment of publicly available tender documents used in Australia
• assessment of relevant guidance documentation provided by jurisdictions and the Agency
See the scope of work and deliverables in the document.
