Tender Description
Tamworth Airport requires the addition of new sealed parking space to meet the CASA Manual of Standards part 139 (MOS139) for aircraft up to 20m wingspan. The area designated for this apron is located west of the existing Code A Taxiways G and G1 and north of Taxiway H, and is to incorporate these Taxiways where able as part of the new Code B Taxilane. Existing sealed parking bays P1, P2 and P3 are to remain. Aircraft currently operating into the general aviation area are wingspan limited to 17.65m due to existing geometry. This project will allow unrestricted operations by Code B aircraft up to 20m wingspan into the new apron, and is part of an incremental upgrade to the General Aviation area to meet new standards and increase capacity at Tamworth Regional Airport.
