ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
SEEKING POSITIVE CUSTOMER FOCUSED SOLUTION
Ararat Rural City is currently seeking staff or contractors to lead its Environmental Health Service. In keeping with the new Council and its Council Plan 2021-2025 the successful appointment will provide quality, timely and proactive support to residents and businesses in key areas of the service.
Growing the place and building a robust economy whilst preserving the physical environment is the philosophy required to be embraced by the role.
The team will have measurable benchmarks that seek to exceed both state and community standards of service, without a compromise on quality.
Council is open to innovative approaches which combine both in person and offsite support. Proposals that encourage the development of depth within the sector and/or provide for continuity of service throughout the year will be highly regarded.
It is expected that the workload is approximately 30 hours per week to provided the following:
- Food safety registrations
- Health, beauty and accommodation registrations
- Wastewater permits for new and alterations to existing systems
- Investigations into noise and other complaints.
