About the Role
The EL1 Project Manager (Labour Hire) is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA.
The position is a team membership position within the NDIA and has a concurrent requirement to resolve issues and risks across a broad range of activities of substantial depth involving significant detail and to provide support to the team leadership of their work area in the planning and coordination of the team.
The EL1 Project Manager (Labour Hire) will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the NDIA’s objectives to “build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme”.
The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA’s interests across a range of forums.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Supporting program scoping, development, implementation, monitoring and reporting using Agile methodology.
• Managing the effective governance of projects and ensuring appropriate evaluation of progress, quality, cost activities and escalation as necessary.
• Providing advice on the use of Jira, Confluence and related applications to deliver the program requirements.
• Developing and implementing processes to ensure consistent use of Jira across work streams.
• Monitoring progress with design and build activities using Jira reporting functionality.
• Building the capability of project teams in establishing and monitoring project activity on Jira and Confluence.
• Supervising project activities and resources to deliver agreed outputs.
• Developing key relationships with Agency subject matter experts to support the delivery of appropriate project solutions.
• Performing independent research and analysis to determine operational solutions.
• Maintaining project artefacts including project management plans, scheduling and performance reports to ensure integrity of the project.
