GRDC is seeking expertise to evaluate several different fungicide seed treatments for their effectiveness in providing protection of mungbean plants against Fusarium. It is expected that the successful applicant will evaluate in the order of 8-12 treatments, with the entries being proposed by the applicant and final treatment list decided in consultation with GRDC. Initial evaluation should be conducted in controlled glasshouse studies using representative field sourced inoculum, with best/suitable candidates progressing to field evaluation. Treatments should be evaluated for their efficacy of increased plant establishment, reduced early seedling death and length of protection. Phase two field studies are to include yield and quality assessments.
