Tender Description
The Aotearoa New Zealand Advanced Training Subcommittee (ATS) in Rheumatology is seeks expressions of interest for a Paediatric Representative.
The Subcommittee oversees operational and local matters for Advanced Rheumatology Training in Aotearoa New Zealand and reports to the Advanced Training Committee in Rheumatology.
1 x position is open for a Paediatric Rheumatologists who has completed 2 years minimum of consultant practice.
The Paediatric Representative oversees PCHD advanced trainees in Aotearoa NZ. Key responsibilities include:
- monitor and assess individual trainee progress
- recommend completion of training requirements for progression to Fellowship
- provide support to supervisors
- recommend accreditation of rheumatology advanced training settings or programs
- assess and confirm recognition of prior learning
- advise and provide feedback on training program requirements, assessment, curricula, and resource content
- advise on matters relating to overseas trained physicians
The Subcommittee holds 1 face-to-face meeting and up to 9 video conferences a year.
Members are appointed to the Subcommittee for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew a further term.
