Tender Description
The Queensland Government through the Office of Industrial Relations is seeking applications to the Expression of Interest for the grant OIR 06_2122 Workers’ Psychological Support Service (WPSS).
The purpose of the WPSS is to offer Queensland workers experiencing a work-related primary or secondary psychological injury, additional confidential and independent support and assistance, separate to their insurer and the regulatory functions undertaken by Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Services (WCRS) (such as dispute resolution). The service is not a crisis line; rather, it connects clients with established community and other independent support services (as opposed to workplace interventions) that they may not have otherwise been aware of.
The key objective of WPSS is to support workers and improve their experience throughout the different points of engagement with the workers’ compensation scheme, in order to minimize the psychosocial impacts of their work-related psychological injuries.
