This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
DFAT has a requirement for the engagement of a Program Manager to manage reporting and governance activities across a large security program. The successful candidate will be required to ensure the successful transition of the Program’s projects and deliverables to business-as-usual teams. The position will drive and manage a team undertaking a technically complex Program of work across physical, technical and ICT security.
The successful candidate will work closely with the business areas and technical experts to ensure successful governance of the Program including but not limited to:
• Collating reporting documentation for Governance Boards;
• Keeping project teams accountable to schedules and plans;
• Leading Program closure activities; and
• Providing support to the section with responsibility for portfolio management of security operations.
Duties:
DFAT requires a Program Manager who has:
• An ability to manage and work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organisation, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to identify, lead and deliver high quality business outcomes
• An ability to develop and implement frameworks, policies, guidelines and other resources that deliver business outcomes for the organisation
• Demonstrated record of delivering outcomes and meeting organisational and business objectives
• Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making
• High level judgement, decision making and advice to deliver effective people management
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will need experience in Governance, Program or Project Management and be able to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in leading large Programs
• Strong knowledge and application of PM methodologies.
• Confidence working in a fast paced, sometimes reactive environment
• Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal
• High quality reporting and reviewing
• NV2 Australian Government clearance mandatory
Highly Desirable
• An understanding of physical and technical security
• Experience in organisational change management and program closure
