Tender Description
Taxiway Delta at Tamworth Airport is the sole sealed and illuminated taxiway link between the main runway (RWY 12L/30R) and the general aviation and International Flight Training Tamworth (IFTT) apron facilities.
A section of the taxiway of approximately 900m2 requires full depth reconstruction and the remainder of the taxiway length requires a re-seal to alleviate issues of stripping and general aging of the existing two coat seal.
Asphaltic concrete is the preferred option for the seal, either through overlay and re-instatement of lighting, or by milling and retention of lighting. Other options may be offered in the Tender response.
Taxiway Delta is equipped with centreline lighting installed in 2021 by ADBSafegate, with two of the lights installed in the section requiring reconstruction. two additional lights also require installation as part of this Tender.
