Tender Description
Port Augusta City Council invites tenders from Tenderers for the supply and installation of new LED Runway Ground Lighting including Apron Area and all associated cabling and infrastructure to meet MOS-139 compliance. The preferred contractor will be responsible to install and renew the existing Halogen Lighting System. This is to include energising the new system and providing a CoC for the installation and warranty period as applicable.
The Council will enter into a Minor Works Agreement with the successful Tenderer.
The preferred contractor will be responsible to source, supply, install and energise New LED Lighting to the Airport extents of the Runway and Apron Area to replace all aged PAL Lighting (1 New LED for 1 Existing Halogen) as per the provided plan – Port Augusta Airport Runway and Apron Lighting Upgrade - Plan Ref. Site Plan 1 in accordance with MOS-139 Requirements for Airport Lighting. This plan is not indicative of the full extent of cable replacement required.
With this will be the requirement to install new underground cabling and junction pits as necessary to Australian Standards and MOS-139 Compliance for runway and clearways including the 3 x IWDI (Illuminated Wind Direction Indicators). New in ground junction pits will be required for mid-way and change of direction including identifiable ground markers for cable route identification.
The Council will require a proposed design prior to commencement of works and once approved by Council and upon completion of the project an “As Built” AutoCAD file for future records utilising a CASA Approved Licenced Surveyor. The Contractor will also be responsible to provide the Council CASA Compliant Manual Updates for ERSA Publications and the Councils Aerodrome Manual upon completion of the project within 3 months of project completion.
The system including all associated equipment must be operational and energised for project completion by 31 March 2022 (warranty period not included in this timeframe).
The outcome of this Request for Tender is subject to grant funding approval.
