The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is seeking responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) T2001-0341 for the Second Victorian Renewable Energy Target Auction (VRET2).

VRET2 will contribute to the achievement of legislated VRET targets as well as the Victorian Government’s commitment to source 100 percent renewable electricity for its own operations by 2025.

The Victorian Government seeks to align generation from successful VRET2 projects with its own electricity requirements for hospitals, schools, Melbourne’s train network and a range of other government infrastructure and services.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) and returnable schedule templates, as well as supplementary material including technical factsheets and a regularly updated Q&A document are available for download.

All enquiries relating to this RFP must be directed to: VRET2auction@delwp.vic.gov.au. The enquiry period will close on 5pm on Tuesday 26 October.

An online Industry Briefing Session to provide renewable energy developers with an overview of the Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria in the VRET2 RFP will be held on Wednesday 8 September at 10:00am (AEST). Register for the session at the Eventbrite webpage. After registering, you will receive details about how to attend the briefing, which will take place on Microsoft Teams

Tenders close at 2.00pm on Tuesday 9 November 2021.

When arranging lodgement of tenders be aware that DELWP does not issue receipts.
