Tender Description
The RFT is for the provision of Tree Maintenance Services to Melton City Council for the next 6 years (1 July 2022 to 30 June 2028) to meet Council’s objectives set out in this RFT.
Council has in place a tree inventory to record the number and condition of tree Assets in:
- Urban streets in all suburbs of the municipality
- Open space areas in the vicinity of buildings, playgrounds, pergola’s and rotunda’s; and
- Rural roadsides in all areas of the municipality.
The Asset Register attached to the Specifications identifies the total number of tree Assets currently mapped by Council.
The total number of trees on Council land throughout the City has not been ascertained. Council’s inventory does not record the number or condition of trees that are not in the vicinity of buildings, playgrounds, pergola’s and rotunda’s in other open space areas, except where an inspection has resulted in work to the tree, which could have resulted from a Customer Action Request or proactive inspection at the time.
