The new Flemington Community Hub at Debneys Park will be delivered in 2023. The Hub will be a vibrant, welcoming and flexible centre, with activity and program rooms, family facilities, creative spaces, meeting rooms and space to study, meet friends and socialise.
As part of the ongoing development of the Hub, we recognise the importance of engagement and collaboration with the community, as well as the important role that art plays in bringing communities together to create vibrant and community owned spaces.
The building has been designed to have visual art integrated into the exterior perforated steel panels and interior glass and room signage decals.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from visual artists or art collectives to engage our key stakeholders and create visual artworks that speak to the Flemington environment and community. These artworks will be transposed into forms suitable for the manufacturing of the panels.
