⁠⁠⁠Seeking EOIs for one (1) representative for the Australian Genomics Multidisciplinary CDR Network

The College is seeking expressions of interest for one (1) Australian-based College representative to be appointed to the Australian Genomics Multidisciplinary Clinical Diagnostic Research Network. See selection criteria below.

Selection criteria – Please state how your knowledge, qualifications, experience and personal attributes apply to each criterion below:

  1. Reason for interest in representing the College on the Australian Genomics Multidisciplinary Clinical Diagnostic Research Network?
  2. Please briefly detail your expertise and current work or research relevant to the field of genomics.
  3. Please confirm that you are based in Australia
  4. Do you have any previous or current professional or personal connections that may give cause for perceived conflict of interest with Australian Genomics?

Background:

Australian Genomics have invited the RACP to appoint one (1) representative to the Clinical, Diagnostic & Research (CDR) Network. Australian Genomics are seeking a representative who are specialised in the field of genomics and/or have a research interest in the field of genomics, and is an Australian based member.

The CDR Network is a multidisciplinary network of Australian experts in genomics research, diagnostics and clinical care. The network meets regularly to discuss genomics initiatives, issues and opportunities, and to share the latest advancements in the field. The network provides a forum for Australian Genomics and external stakeholders to engage the nation’s genomics experts in initiatives of national and international significance, and helps support a multidisciplinary, nationally coordinated approach to Australia’s genomics research, diagnostics and clinical services.

Term and commitment:

  • The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 16 September (2021 dates have been scheduled as: 28 October, 18 November, 16 December)
  • Meetings held via videoconference
  • Meetings will be held monthly for approximately 1 hour
  • The term is for 3 years (in the absence of an external body set term, we apply the College’s standard term for College body appointments)
  • This appointment is not renumerated.
  • Representatives of the College to external appointments are required to report back to the College on the key discussions and outcomes of meetings.
