Tender Description
Ports North (PN) is responsible for the development and management of port facilities vital to the development of Cairns and regional centres in Far North Queensland. The Corporation has extensive property, marina, tourism and cargo facilities in Cairns and its regional ports. PN owns and maintains Wharf 10, located in the Cairns Seaport. Wharf 10 specifically caters for the importation of bulk liquids including petroleum fuels and LPG. The wharf is a vital component of infrastructure in the PN asset portfolio.
The Wharf 10 facility includes 2 berthing dolphins, each with two rubber fenders for absorbing vessel berthing energy. Existing fenders are "Lord FT25" fenders. These 4 rubber fenders are aged and in need of replacement.
This tender relates to the supply and delivery of 4 rubber fenders. The properties of the new fenders shall match the existing or have very similar energy absorption properties.
This tender does not include the replacement of the fender units, this site work will be tendered separately.
