Expression of Interest – Independent Member Audit and Risk Committee

⁠⁠⁠Indigo Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest for a professional and skilled community member to join its Audit and Risk Committee.

The committee operates under Section 54 of the Local Government Act 2020 and its purpose is to oversee and monitor the effectiveness of Council in carrying out its responsibilities for accountable financial management, good corporate governance, maintaining an effective system of internal control and risk management, and fostering an ethical environment. The Committee meets quarterly at Council's Beechworth Offices or via Zoom.

The role is for a three-year term, commencing in November 2021.
